2 Terrorists arrested in Delhi

2 Terrorists Arrested In Delhi : On Tuesday 16 December 2015, two suspected operatives of a jihadi outfit were detained by the Special Cell of Delhi Police.

2 Terrorists arrested by police were allegedly planning to carry out attacks in the national capital during Christmas and New Years Eve.

Reportedly, one of the suspected operative has been identified as Asif  (age 41), a native of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.

Police has not yet declared any further details regarding the detainees.

Both the detainees were already under the Special Cell’s scanner.

However, they disappeared around two years ago, following which they are suspected to have crossed the border and attended training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan with their associates, an official informed.

The police have also got certain leads suggesting that the duo, along with their associates, were allegedly planning terror strikes in the national capital during Christmas and New Year season, the officer said.

It is also reported that the duo attended training camps allegedly organized by militant outfits, ‘LeT‘ or ‘Al-Qaeda‘ the officer added.

Recently in December, the Special Cell had registered a case in connection with the presence of two suspected LeT operatives who allegedly infiltrated from PoK and were last seen in the national capital. According to reports they were seeking plans to target high profile individuals.
