Britain, the country is still in a state of shock! On June 16th, Jo Cox, 41, a Labour MP was stabbed and shot to death on a street, shortly after holding a routine meeting in her constituency in West Yorkshire. The main motivation behind this assassination seems to be: her being a vocal advocate for Britain remaining in the EU.
In response to the death of Cox, the Britain “Remain” and “Leave” campaigns have suspended their normal activities for the EU referendum – due on next Thursday.
It was a routine afternoon, around 12:30 PM, when she emerged, flanked by two personal assistants, to head to a meeting for the EU remain campaign. And was suddenly attacked to death.
According to eye witness:
“There was a man stood there, in his 50s with a white baseball cap on and grey jacket with a gun, an old-fashioned looking gun in his hands. He shot this lady and then shot her again.”
The street descended into complete chaos. People started screaming, while others ran towards where the MP lay. “She was on the floor and people were surrounding her, people were coming out of the shops, from around, from the library.”
Over nearly an hour, paramedics and a doctor tended to the MP, who at one point was seen to be conscious and propping herself up on an elbow. But at 1.48pm she was pronounced dead. West Yorkshire regional police said a 52-year-old man was arrested by officers nearby and weapons, including a firearm, were recovered.

Gun ownership is highly restricted in Britain, and attacks of any nature on public figures are rare. But this kind of a shocking incident again raises so many questions:
Is the World a safe place to live in?
Are we civilized enough to respect different opinions and co-exist?
This attack and the one in recent Orlando Shooting, share the same tendencies as would an ISIS attack? Where is the justice?
