India’s largest luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz, today launched its 15th product of the year i.e ‘New Gen Car by Mercedes Benz’ for the Indian market.
The new generation A-Class is priced at Rs 24.95 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 25.95 lakh for diesel version. It is reported to be the cheapest car in the German company’s line up which was launched by the company in 2013.
The A-Class belongs to the new generation of compact cars from Mercedes. The portfolio contains many versions of the car some of which includes B, E, CLA & GLA Class models.

‘New Car by Mercedes Benz’: Design and Specifications:
The new A-Class is equipped with a leather coated multifunction steering wheel having 12 buttons and a shift lever in also enclosed in leather.
The two variants of the A Class that have made it to Indian shores are the A180 Sport(petrol) and the A200cdi Sport(diesel).
A-class A180 (petrol) have 1.6 liter 4 cylinder petrol engine, capable of producing upto 122hp at 5000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1250-4000 rpm. On the other hand, The 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder diesel version produces 136hp of peak power at 3200-4000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 1400-3000 rpm.
A Class is exclusively availible in ‘Elbaite Green’ color and also in Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Cosmos Black and Polar Silver colors.
