TalkingPeppers is seeking Full/Part Time social media-savvy individuals for “Content Writer” position with engaging, conversational and excellent writing skills. The individual(s) will deliver friendly and engaging content via Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Tumblr etc. Use online and offline social networking techniques for collaboration with people inside and outside the organization. Most importantly stimulate conversation about our brand.

 

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Create stylish, quippy and informative content for multiple social channels.
  • Research, write/edit and create layout for new articles and features.
  • Responsible for daily posts to all social media outlets.
  • Maintain video upload process and YouTube page.
  • Write SEO-friendly content and perform basic keyword research.
  • Become a company advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain plan for organization’s Internet presence, based on management priorities, policy directions, and goals.
  • Identify opportunities to guest blog and invite guest bloggers to participate.
  • Regularly provide feedback on insights gained from social media monitoring (Facebook Insights, etc.).
  • Continuously monitor social media trends and tools for changes that affect our competitive landscape.
  • Assess new standards, technologies and trends, and formulate plans for future enhancement to blogging strategies.
  • Use alerts, search and other tools to monitor for mentions.
  • Respond promptly to article comments and emails.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

 

Required Skills:

  • Education:
    • Senior Content Writer
      • 2+ years of experience as Content Writer
      • Graduates with good academic background (with any specialization)
    • Associate Content Writer
      • 6+ months experience as Content Writer
      • Graduates with good academic background (with any specialization)
    • Trainee Writer
      • Undergraduates with good academic background (with any specialization)
  • Writing:
    • Inclination/Experience in writing, blogging, social marketing.
    • Strong, proven passion for news and entertainment.
    • Proofreading and editing skills.
    • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
    • Writing should be informative, but not verbose.
  • Technical:
    • Knowledge and understanding of current editing, authoring tools, and related blog technologies.
    • Ability to utilize computerized word processing, blogging and internet software.
    • Must be computer and definitely Internet/search engine savvy to perform online research.
  • Social Networking:
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Google+, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
    • Act as ambassador and liaison for company with the Internet community.
