Piaa Bajpai – the female lead of newly released film ‘Laal Rang’ looks like a breath of fresh air. The journey of Pia Bajpai from Etawah to Mumbai has all the ingredients of an exciting and intriguing Bollywood potboiler. The grit and determination of this young actress commendable and inspiring.
In her quest to do something bigger and better, Pia landed in Delhi from Etawah for part-time job of a receptionist and also enrolled for a diploma in computer science. The moment she reached Delhi, she found the shutters of the institute closed due to weekend off. She had to pass the entire weekend in the waiting room of the Railway station. She then moved to Mumbai after sometime but her ordeal was yet to begin. She didn’t find a suitable accommodation there and had to share the room with dog of Lodge’s owner.
She was finding it difficult to survive there because she was not getting a good job. She took up the job for three meals a day and a meagre travel allowance. Her first job in Mumbai was of a dubbing artist for which she got rupees three hundred only.
Eventually after all the hardships and adjustments her first big break in form of advertisement arrived. She had to eat a lot of chicken despite being a vegetarian. It was a commercial for KFC. It became a hit overnight and there is no looking back since then, she got a cadbury’s advertisement with Amitabh Bachchan and another big break with poster boy of Indian cricket Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The advertisement with Priyadarshan opened the doors of southern film industry for Pia. After working in 14 Films down south, She has just arrived on the scene of Hindi film Industry with ‘Laal Rang’. A thriller Directed by Syed Ahmed Afzal and produced by Nikita Thakur.
By looking at the career graph of this young, vivacious and spunky actress, we can say that she has something very special in store for future to make it very big in Bollywood.
Our Best wishes for the newly released ‘Laal Rang’ starring her with Randeep Hooda.
