Canada is seriously super great!
In its 2015 annual survey, the Reputation Institute ranked Canada as the most reputable country in the world. The Institute’s representative, Fernando Prado, attributes the country’s ranking to the country’s “effective government,” “absence of corruption,” “friendly and welcoming people,” and welfare support system.
Canada was also ranked as the most reputable country by the Reputation Institute from 2011 to 2013, but fell to second place in 2014. Switzerland was only slightly nicer that year.
Of the 55 countries on the list, The United States was ranked 22nd. Prado explains:
“The US has an average reputation … because they don’t have the highest scores in all the different attributes. They have very strong ones in technology, in having strong brands, but not as much in other ones.” Prado describes a negative “emotional halo” surrounding the US, citing that the US scored well in rational areas but less so in emotional ones.
Whereas India ranked at position 33rd, which is NOT BAD given that it is significantly, the most improved countries over the years alongwith Iran and China. Keep it up!
