Verghese Kurian was born on November 26,1921 at Calicut. He was graduated in Physics from Loyola College , Madras in 1940 and then obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering , Guindy.
He launched “Operation Flood” in 1970 that transformed India from a milk deficient nation to a largest milk producing nation , transcending the USA in 1998.
