On Wednesday 24th Feb, the former WWE professional wrestler, Dalip Singh Rana, better known by his ring name ‘The Great Khali’, suffered a severe head injury during the Continental Wrestling Entertainment event (CWE), held at Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
Reportedly, Khali sustained a major head injury during the first show of ‘The Great Khali Returns Series’ while clashing with two foreign wrestlers- Mike Knox and Brody Steel, who clobbered the 7 feet giant with chairs and left Khali unconscious and bleeding, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Gaula Par, Haldwani.
One of the organizers of ‘The Great Khali Returns Series’ told sources:
“Khali has been under observation and tests are being conducted on him to know whether he has suffered injuries to his chest as well”
As per sources, brutally injured Khali, was admitted to ICU division of Brijlal Hospital , where he received seven stitches on his head last night before being flown to Dehradun‘s Max Hospital.
Moreover, doctors suspects, Khali (44) has suffered injuries to his chest as well , however, the exact nature of his injuries are yet to be known.
The Great Khali, who was crowned the WWE ‘World Heavyweight Champion’, in year 2007, has a second match of the CWE series on February 28, 2016.
