On Friday 15th Jan 2016, in the 2nd ODI in Brisbane, Australia defeated India by 7 wickets despite an incredible effort by Rohit Sharma, who scored 124 runs off 127 deliveries.
The Hosts have already defeated team India in the first ODI at perth and are now having 2-0 lead in five match series.
Batting first Indian batsmen played some quality cricket to post a total of 308 runs at the Gabba in 2nd ODI with Rohit Sharma once again taking charge for India with a brilliant knock of 124 runs along with some major contributions from Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane, who scored 59 and 89 runs, respectively.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan seemed to be still out of form with yet another failure, scoring mere six runs. MS Dhoni also failed with the bat as he fell cheaply for 11 to give Boland his first ODI wicket.
However, Australian batsmen outshined the indian bowling attack and looked pretty comfortable chasing a 300 plus total in an over to spare.
Australian opening pair Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh set up the win for the home team with a magnificent first-wicket partnership of 145 runs. Ravindra Jadeja gave some hope to indian fans as he dismissed Finch (71) in the 25th over of the game.
But Indian bowlers were not able to put a hold on George Bailey‘s bat as he played brilliant Innings of unbeaten 76 runs, Cruising the Aussies to second victory over Indians in the series.
Australia with 2-0 lead have inched closer to the wrapping ODI seires while Team India have to rethink their strategy for the third ODI that will takes place on Sunday.
