In an interactive session with Google CEO Sundar Pichai held at SRCC on December 16, the youth got to know some incredibly inspiring things about Mr.Pichai. The session was willingly attended by students of different schools and colleges of Delhi University. He shared his wisdom and experience with great enthusiasm.
Mr.Pichai told about what it was like working in Google and what he had been doing if was the Google CEO. He shared about the expansion plans that Google is likely to make in India.
“Google is a really fun place to work. When you are walking in the office, you see everyone is doing something interesting. When I walked into the Google office for the first time, I was like a kid in a candy store,” said the Google CEO.
He told the students to follow their dreams and it was absolutely fine to take risks. He said to keep learning from your collegues as they have been in the field from a long time and to keep pushing yourself. Mr. Pichai even expressed his thoughts about the Indian Education system, which he finds need amendments.
“I think the Indian education should allow a system of creativity, project-based, experiential learning. We should teach students to take risks and not penalise them,” he told.
He even said that the next Android could be named after an Indian Dessert, for which they might conduct an online poll where people would vote for what the new name should be.
Commentator Harsha Bhogle conducted a rapid fire session with Mr.Pichai in which he answered some personal questions as well.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai is an inspiration for the youth of the country. We all must look upto him and keep the courage to take some risks in life to make our future as bright as his. It was a great pleasure for everyone to know him and his work closely.
