Rohit Khandelwal, 26, from Hyderabad is the first Indian, rather Asian man, to grab a Mr. World Title! After all, India is not just about female beauties 😉 But this honor was not an easy cake walk. The Indian lad worked days and nights to beat ~50 participants from all across the World, before securing this glam & fame. Let’e know more about his journey:
While pursuing his studies in Hyderabad, Rohit took to the path of modeling. Like many families this was against the wishes of his dad who wanted him to join family business but Rohit did not stop pursuing his dreams.

After college, Rohit first worked as a SpiceJet ground staff, and then as a technical support assistant for Dell Computers. Alongside he pursued modeling.
After being successful at modeling, Rohit soon moved to TV shows while trying his luck in Mumbai. He worked in a couple of TV ads and shows including a jewellery ad with Kareena Kapoor, MTV Big F, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, etc.
In 2015 he won Mr India title in Mumbai. He also won two special awards at the contest, Stay-On Mr Active and Provogue Personal Care Best Actor.
Rohit was not always so fit. He worked really hard to get his body in shape and then worked even harder to maintain it like that. He has even shared the pictures of his transformation on Instagram.
Winning the Pageant
The pageant was held on July 19, 2016, in Southport, UK and the winner was to receive $50,000 prize.
Here’s what he has to say: “I Still can’t believe that I have won the Mr. World Title. Being the first Indian ever to win this title makes me immensely proud and ecstatic.”
Really this seems to be a fairytale journey.
@Rohit, we wish you heartiest Congratulations on this remarkable journey. Well deserved.
And good luck for your future!
