Reportedly, Lavjibhai ‘Badshah’ Patel, who bought Narendra Modi‘s famed suit with Modi’s name monogrammed as pinstripes on it, for Rs 4.31 crore, would donate Rs 200 crore to 10,000 girls (Rs 2 lakh each) across the nation, for their better future. Mr. Patel made a surprise announcement during his visit at Vatsalya Gram, Vrindavan, on Tuesday 23 Feb.
Patel AKA Badshah is diamond baron from Surat, he’s also a builder, private airline owner and philanthropist. As per sources, Patel told that he would launch the following program in Surat on March 13 and the parents of 10,000 girls, selected from across the country, would be paid Rs 2 lacs each, for the better upbringing, studies and marriages of the girls.
Lavjibhai Badshah, was attending the closing ceremony of a event at Vatsalya Gram, which is a charitable trust in India that encourages child sponsorship to help the deprived and poor children across the country. He told that he was deeply moved and was inspired from Sadhvi Ritambhara‘s work.
Moreover, Patel told that his declaration for the donation is a small contribution to the ongoing ‘Beti bachao, Beti padhao Yojna‘ campaign of the government.
As per sources, this is not the first time that Mr. Patel has shown great generosity for girl child. Not long ago, he had gifted bonds of Rs 2 lakh each to 5000 newborn girls of Patidar community in Gujarat.
The benefits of Rs 2 lakh will be availed by the girls when they’ll reach the age of 21 years, In addition, the premium for the bonds, which amount to Rs 2 crore (@ Rs 4000 per girl for 14 years) would be paid by Patel.
