The wrestling is getting so much adulation and attention these days from everyone like never before because these days two biggest stars of our galaxy of Bollywood are doing the Films based on the concept of wrestling. The magnetic Salman Khan is doing Sultan and studious Amir Khan is essaying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his two daughters to become the female wrestlers in Dangal who not only did wrestling but also won the medals representing India at 2010 Commonwealth Games.
This is a Sports Biographical movie which illustrates the journey of a father in a male dominated society, who has to go through a lot of trails and tribulations to make his dream come true. Sultan’s release date is round the corner , just three days to be precise, Amir Khan is releasing the Poster of his much awaited Film Dangal.
This seems to be a good marketing strategy to garner some requisite attention towards his upcoming Film in the same Genre. Dangal is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced By Disney Studio India. This story revolves around the main protagonist Amir Khan aka Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, who won Gold and Silver medals at 2010, Commonwealth Games in different weight categories.
In recently revealed Poster of the movie Dangal, Amir is surrounded by four Girls. This itself is creating a little bit of buzz in the minds of viewers. This is because this story has been depicting the journey of these girls from childhood to adulthood. So the two small girls Zara Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar are playing the younger versions and Fathima Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra are doing roles of famed Duo of Phogat Sisters, a little older version as wrestlers.
The tagline with the poster says that “Maari Choriyaan kya Chorro se kam hain kai” means our girls are by no means lesser than boys. This tagline reflects the significance of imbalanced male female sex ratio all over India particularly in the northern region of our country which depicts the very poor picture on this sensitive issue.
This tagline gives a very strong social message. The movie is slated to be released at 23rd December 2016. This tagline also calibrates the essence of this Biopic.
