Popcorn Buzz, a new group calling app by LINE Corporation has been launched for Android. The app, which is available free of cost will allow as many as 200 participants to take part in a conversation at the same time. The company claims that the app is an able replacement for many business level conference call services.
The app requires one to choose a username and then upload a profile picture. After being set up, the app can be used to create a group. Each group call will have a unique URL which can be shared via email, or text message. Users who already have a LINE account will be able to synchronise their friend lists from there.
One of the plus points of the app is that the calling feature is free. A green dot at the lower right hand corner of the screen indicates the users on your list who are presently on a call. Although only available for Android for now, the app will be coming out to iOS pretty soon as well. Also, the Android version is expected to get new features such as group video chat.
Sounds pretty cool. Happy calling guys!
