The attack came after recent threats to a temple priest in Dinajpur district, compelling him not to arranging any religious gatherings.
Around 10 people were critically injured as three crude bombs went off at “jatra pandal” on the premises of “Kantaji Temple” in Kaharol sub-district of Dinajpur on Saturday 5 December 2015. Three people are said to be in a critical condition.
“Three hand bombs were hurled one after another by some unidentified miscreants at the stage of Rash Mela around 1 am Saturday, injuring at least 10 people,” Dinajpur Superintendent of Police Ruhul Amin
All those injured in the attacks were injured were rushed to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital, Police Official told
The attack follows the shooting and wounding of an Italian doctor working in the same region last month, and the earlier murders of an Italian and a Japanese citizen in separate attacks claimed by Islamic State.
