Raj and Simran recreated the magic of their love at the house of DDLJ, Maratha Mandir yesterday. This was the launch event of first song ‘Gerua’ from this year’s most anticipated movie Dilwale.
This new song portrays our favorite SRK and Kajol in the way we love to see them. The song opens with typical Raj sporting a black leather jacket and a pair of Rayban, at that very moment your heart might skip a beat.
Introduction music of the track gives you the feel of the good old 90’s love songs and you might automatically rerun Sooraj Hua Madham from the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in your thoughts. However lyrics donned by Amitabh Bhattacharya do not match the level of the love anthem, but Arijit Singh’s graceful singing and Pritam’s composition will make you listen to the song on the loop mode.
The only thing which will offend your eyes is the use of too many special effects and will ruin the fairy tale feel residing in the castle of your thoughts. But then again our very own Raj-Simran will make us forget all the obstacles coming in our way.
King Khan shared the meaning of the song on his twitter account:
“Gerua means Ochre or Orange to keep it simple…even a bit saffrony. So colour me in the colour of love.”
